Sister Mary Michael passed away or crossed over at 10:15am on 7th May 2023, at Cheras Convent, Kuala Lumpur.

“She was known to be the most popular Infant Jesus Sisters (IJS) of Main Convent during our secondary school years,” says Father Michael Cheah, Parish Priest of the Church of St Michael Alor Star. “Arthritis had deformed all her fingers. Always marveled at her tenacity,” commented Joseph Michael Lee. Both are Old Michaelians from St. Michael’s Institution, Ipoh.

I have high respect and fond memories of Sister Mary Michael and her clear voice, articulation, and short talks on spiritual values and moral stories, at Training Camps and Regional Meetings when I was with the Valiant Vanguards for 11 years, from Standard 1B with teacher, Eileen Yap.

I say The Crossover Prayer for Sister Mary Michael. May she send an Angelic Sign or Afterlife Sign to those who are grieving and to whom she has helped and taught in her life.
