September 16th was a particularly interesting date for Apple visionary Steve Jobs: On this day in 1985, he resigned from Apple five months after losing control of the company in a boardroom battle with then CEO John Sculley. But on this day 12 years later, the $400 million sale of NeXT to Apple brought Jobs back into the fold as CEO.
