A goodbye letter to Malaysians.
By Robert “Wizard” Chaen.
Goodbye, my Malaysian friends. I see you again Malaysia.
I’m going back to my “Heung Har” (ancestral home).
I feel I don’t belong here anymore.
The Truly Malaysian Spirit has died. The values of integrity, freedom, justice, love, harmony, and truth are totally eclipsed by the darkness of corruption, crime, cronyism, cost of living, racism, greed, pride, hypocrisy, bigotry, and extremism of some leaders and all their merry gang of accomplices and thieves who support them.
But truth and karma will prevail. When Malaysia has reached the darkest night, the sunshine of the dawning of a new Malaysia is destined to shine through.
Have faith, hope, and kindness.
May God bless Malaysia. Amen.
Love and truth,
Robert “Wizard” Chaen

This letter is just an expression of my sadness in witnessing how my birth country had lost its way and how so many Malaysians choose to be blind to the corruption, tyranny, crime, extremism, and hypocrisy.
Like many Malaysians who value integrity, ethics, and social harmony, as much we think about deserting our country but I care too much for Malaysia to leave it for good – even as other countries seem to treasure my talents and contributions more than here.
I’ll pray and hold on to the dream that one day my beloved Malaysia will be free from racism, racial prejudices, blind religious bigotry, tyranny, and inequality, and be transformed into a free, loving, and truthful society.
